    Les Schwab Snacks

Les Schwab Tires customers have long enjoyed free popcorn inside our stores. Now that popular tradition is also becoming a centerpiece of our involvement in local communities.

Through donations of popcorn and water, the Les Schwab Snacks program enriches events for community organizations and empowers high school students to practice valuable job skills and raise money for their activities.

The Riverdale, Utah, store, for example, donates the popcorn maker, bags, and popcorn to nearby Bonneville High School for the football and basketball seasons. Students who run the concession booth sell bottles of water and bags of popcorn for $1 each and get to keep the proceeds to spend on activities.

In Monroe, Washington, popcorn is the weekly treat at the Friday afternoon Popcorn Social at Chain Lake Elementary School thanks to the nearby Les Schwab store. The PTA had previously been forced to charge students for the snack. Even at less than a dollar a bag, the cost was out of reach for some kids, so for the last three years, the crew has sponsored the event with 15 cases of popcorn, making it free for everybody. The Monroe store also supplies popcorn for the town’s National Night Out Against Crime, when citizens get together for an evening of community building with the Monroe Rotary Club and police and fire departments.

For the past two years in southwest Washington, 10 stores have partnered to sponsor 22 local high schools with popcorn, oil and seasonings for lunchtime and game-day booths. (The concessions are so popular that the schools have bought their own machines.) Feedback from the athletic directors is overwhelmingly positive.

DJ from West Fargo, North Dakota, says “As a new store in a new market, finding sponsorship opportunities was initially challenging, but the Snacks Program gave us something tangible to share and became the perfect way to get involved. Running the program was straightforward and easy to manage, allowing us to make a meaningful impact in our community right away. Instead of a one-time $200 donation, the program helped our local high school raise $1,800 this school year—and the funds keep growing! It’s a win-win that’s allowed us to support our community in a big way.”

Choose Les Schwab Snacks for your concession stand, upcoming sponsorship, event, or booth. We’ll provide what you and the community need to succeed. Doing the right thing matters - in our stores and in our communities.
